About Stan Kushkin, founder of Wine Rooster

Stan Kushkin

My name is Stan, and I am the founder of Wine Rooster. I was born in Macedonia, a small country in Europe, which is also the place where my wine career started. When I was a child, my grandfather used to produce his own wine, and he was the one who taught me how to take care of the family vineyards. He showed me how to age wine in our family’s oak barrels that had already been used for generations.

When I grew up, I became a certified sommelier and started working at one of the most prestigious wineries in my country. Later on, I continued my wine career overseas, where I worked as a wine steward for Celebrity Cruises. Traveling the world and exploring the terroirs of many regions, as well as comparing wines, helped me to further my knowledge.

After exploring the high seas, I decided to settle in the United States, where I now run various wine courses and tastings.
